Welcome and Introduction

My name is Tim Covert and I am the Michigan District Worship and Music Director.  Welcome to the Worship and Music Web page.  I am honored to serve through the office of the District Superintendent to develop and oversee training and fellowship for music directors of our local churches.  I serve as a resource for the worship and music needs at District venues and events, including District Council, Conference on the Ministry, Family Camps, etc.  I am committed to an ongoing strategy of church leadership training and development, facilitating the growth of healthy leaders, churches and ministries.

Bio

My wife Lynn and I know the demand music ministry places on those called to this valuable ministry.  We worked secular jobs and ministered for ten years in a small local church serving as lay ministers of music (among other things!) In 1995 as God's plan continued to unfold, my wife and two teenage daughters were launched into full time youth ministry at Greater Lansing First Assembly of God.  Then in 1998 I accepted my current position of Minister of Music at the same church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Curt Dalaba.  We reside in Lansing Michigan.

Ministry
